Overview of the Company



Our journey began in 1907 with the vision of a master goldsmith whose dedication to craftsmanship laid the foundation for a legacy to revolutionise the jewellery industry. This dedication established the first retail shop in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), laying the foundation for our presence in the Dubai Gold Souq and building a loyal customer base. Success in Dubai soon led to the opening of our first branch in the emirate of Sharjah

The continued development of Dubai, along with the engagement of the third generation, brought renewed dedication to the jewellery industry. This dedication allowed us to expand our retail presence across the Emirates and beyond into other GCC countries. We also ventured into the wholesale business and began trading with Italy, which is recognised as a global leader in creativity and craftsmanship. This expansion marked the transformation of our brand from a local business into an international jeweller.

Today, Jawhara Jewellery has more than 300 shops across 11 countries and over 80 brand strongholds. Our legacy is narrated through timeless pieces that uphold the traditional techniques of jewellery making, showcasing the creativity of skilled artisans whose designs epitomize our expertise, heritage, and dedication to our loyal customers.

1907 – The Birth of a Beautiful Legacy

The Abdullah family has embarked on an inspiring journey to become renowned goldsmiths in the Middle East, skillfully blending tradition and craftsmanship to provide exceptional services throughout the region and internationally.

1958 – The First Flare in Dubai’s Gold Souq

Elegance took shape as the family opened their first enchanting gold and diamond jewellery store in the heart of Dubai’s Gold Souq.

1961 – Showcasing the Elegance of Natural Pearl Jewellery

 The Abdullah family began to highlight their natural pearl jewellery more prominently, captivating the market with their innovative designs. Their expanded collection of captivating natural pearls won customers’ hearts, showcasing their commitment to elegance and variety.

1965 – Wholesale Begins alongside Retail and Manufacturing 

The family initiated wholesale operations in the Middle East, complementing their retail and manufacturing ventures.

1972 – Embracing High-End Technology in Diamond Jewellery Manufacturing


Driving innovation in the jewellery industry, the Abdullah family adopted cutting-edge diamond-cutting technology, introducing a new era of bridal jewellery that set new standards for quality and craftsmanship.

1975 – Introducing International Diamond Jewellery

The family presented a luxurious collection of Italian diamond jewellery brands, captivating the market with exquisite designs.

1979 – The Opening of the First Store in the Retail Network


The Abdullah family launched their retail brand, entering the retail market while continuing their wholesale and manufacturing services.

1983 – Welcoming International Brands to the Network

The family began featuring international brands in their retail stores, further diversifying their extensive jewellery collections.

1995 – First Diamond Division Established

The Abdullah family established their first wholesale diamond division to enhance their gemstone-studded jewellery offerings. This division also became the foundation for sourcing materials for their gemstone and pearl jewellery lines, bolstering their retail network and wholesale operations.

2013 – Jawhara Jewellery Begins

The Abdullah family transitioned from their Damas brand to introduce Jawhara Jewellery, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of their esteemed heritage and ongoing commitment to excellence.

2014 – Emergence of the Jawhara Jewellery

 A remarkable gem emerged from the heart of the United Arab Emirates. The Abdullah family proudly presented Jawhara as their flagship brand, showcasing their esteemed Emirati craftsmanship and innovative jewellery designs. This reflects their enduring commitment to delivering the best value for high-quality jewellery, maintaining a century-old tradition of authenticity and dedication to their customers.


2018 – Expands Collections with Top International Brands

Jawhara Jewellery expanded its collections to include prestigious international brands such as Forevermark, Chimento, Caoro, Annamaria Cammilli, and Stella alongside their impressive range of over 60 in-house brands.


2021 – A Mark of Distinction with Forevermark

Jawhara Jewellery became an authorized partner with Forevermark Jewellery in the Middle East, offering ethically sourced diamonds that embody beauty, rarity, and responsible sourcing. 

2022 – A Shining Alliance with the Natural Diamond Council

In partnership with the Natural Diamond Council, Jawhara Jewellery reinforced its dedication to celebrating natural diamonds’ extraordinary beauty and enduring value, encouraging customers to cherish these remarkable natural treasures.





2022 – A Collaboration with the Royal Mint for Gold Bars and Coins

Jawhara Jewellery partnered with the Royal Mint, the UK’s oldest company and official maker of British coins, to offer premium gold bars and coins in their stores. This collaboration brought the esteemed Royal Mint’s premium gold bars and coins to their customers.

2024 – Network Expands to 300 Stores
